Ingredients

1 Granny Smith apple, peeled and sliced

1/3 cup all-purpose flour

1 large egg

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1/4 cup powdered sugar

1 tablespoon milk

1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

1. Peel, core, and cut the apple into fry-sized sticks. Pat dry to remove moisture.

2. Set up three bowls: one with flour, one with a beaten egg, and one with cinnamon mixed with sugar.

3. Dredge apple slices in flour, then dip in egg, then coat in the cinnamon sugar mixture.

4. Preheat air fryer to 375°F. Place apple fries in a single layer in the basket.

5. Air fry for 6–8 minutes until golden and crisp.

6. Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract to make a glaze. Drizzle over warm fries and serve.

Notes

Make sure apples are dry before coating to ensure the breading sticks well.

For a gluten-free version, swap flour with almond or gluten-free flour.
