Ingredients
1 cup butter, softened
2 cups granulated sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
0.75 cup brown sugar
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
2. Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
3. Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla.
4. In a separate bowl, combine flour and baking soda.
5. Alternate adding flour mixture and sour cream to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
6. In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon.
7. Pour half the batter into the pan and sprinkle with half the cinnamon sugar.
8. Add remaining batter and top with remaining cinnamon sugar.
9. Swirl through the batter with a knife to create a ribbon effect.
10. Bake for 45–55 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
11. Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
