Ingredients
1 box yellow cake mix (15.25 oz)
2 large eggs
1/2 cup melted butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup chocolate frosting (for decorating)
2 tablespoons rainbow sprinkles
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a 9-inch round cake pan with parchment paper. Lightly grease the edges.
2. In a large bowl, mix the cake mix, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until a thick dough forms.
3. Fold in the chocolate chips evenly.
4. Press the dough into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
5. Bake for 20–22 minutes until the edges are golden and the center is set. Do not overbake.
6. Cool completely in the pan before decorating.
7. Once cool, pipe chocolate frosting around the edges and finish with sprinkles.
8. Slice and serve your cookie cake!
Notes
Don’t overbake—remove when the center is just set to keep it soft and chewy.
For variation, try adding white chocolate chips, chopped nuts, or a drizzle of caramel on top.
