Ingredients

0.75 lb flank steak

0.25 cup orange juice

0.25 cup lime juice

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 tablespoons soy sauce

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon ground cumin

1 teaspoon chili powder

6 corn tortillas

0.5 cup diced white onion

0.25 cup chopped fresh cilantro

Lime wedges, for serving

Instructions

1. In a bowl, whisk together lime juice, orange juice, olive oil, soy sauce, garlic, cumin, and chili powder to create the marinade.

2. Place steak in a zip-top bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over it. Seal and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.

3. Remove steak from marinade and pat dry. Grill or sear on high heat for 4-5 minutes per side until cooked to your preference.

4. Let the steak rest for 5 minutes, then slice thinly against the grain.

5. Warm corn tortillas in a dry skillet or over open flame until pliable and slightly charred.

6. Assemble tacos by placing steak on tortillas and topping with diced onion and chopped cilantro.

7. Serve with lime wedges on the side.

Notes

For best results, always slice the steak against the grain to keep it tender.

Use fresh corn tortillas and char them for a more authentic flavor and texture.
