Ingredients

1 lb sirloin or ribeye steak, cut into cubes

9 oz cheese tortellini (refrigerated or frozen)

1 cup shredded provolone cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 green bell pepper, sliced

1 small yellow onion, sliced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 cup beef broth

1 cup heavy cream

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp butter

1 tsp Italian seasoning

1/2 tsp black pepper

1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

1. Heat olive oil and butter in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.

2. Season steak with salt and pepper, then sear until browned. Remove and set aside.

3. Add bell peppers and onions to the skillet. Cook until soft and caramelized.

4. Stir in garlic and cook for another minute.

5. Pour in beef broth, bring to a simmer, then add heavy cream.

6. Gradually add shredded provolone, stirring until smooth and melted.

7. Add tortellini and seared steak to the sauce. Simmer until tortellini is just tender.

8. Sprinkle mozzarella on top and broil until golden and bubbly.

9. Serve hot straight from the skillet.

Notes

If using frozen tortellini, allow a couple of extra minutes to simmer until fully cooked.

For added spice, stir in crushed red pepper flakes or a dash of hot sauce into the sauce.
