Ingredients

For the Steak:

1 lb ribeye or sirloin steak, thinly sliced

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp butter

½ tsp salt

½ tsp black pepper

½ tsp garlic powder

For the Tortellini & Sauce:

1 (20 oz) package cheese tortellini (fresh or refrigerated)

1 cup beef broth

1 cup heavy cream

1 ½ cups provolone cheese, shredded

½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated

1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

2 cloves garlic, minced

½ tsp onion powder

½ tsp paprika

½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

For Garnishing:

2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Freshly ground black pepper


Instructions

Step 1: Cook the Steak

  1. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the thinly sliced steak, season with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder, and sear for about 2-3 minutes per side until browned.
  3. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.

Step 2: Cook the Tortellini

  1. Cook the cheese tortellini according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Step 3: Make the Provolone Sauce

  1. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add garlic. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  2. Pour in beef broth and heavy cream, stirring well.
  3. Add Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, paprika, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Gradually whisk in shredded provolone and Parmesan, stirring until smooth.

Step 4: Combine Everything

  1. Return the cooked steak to the skillet, along with the tortellini.
  2. Toss to coat evenly in the provolone sauce. Let simmer for 2 minutes.

Step 5: Garnish & Serve

  1. Remove from heat, sprinkle with fresh parsley and black pepper.
  2. Serve immediately and enjoy!
