Ingredients

1 sheet puff pastry, thawed

1 cup cherry pie filling

12 maraschino cherries

1 egg

1 tablespoon water

1 cup powdered sugar

2 tablespoons milk

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract


Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 375°F and grease a 12-cup mini muffin pan.

2. Lightly flour a clean surface and unfold the puff pastry.

3. Cut the puff pastry into 12 even squares.

4. Press each square gently into the mini muffin cups, letting the corners angle upward.

5. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of cherry pie filling into each pastry cup.

6. Place 1 maraschino cherry in the center of each bite.

7. Whisk the egg with the water and brush the exposed pastry edges with the egg wash.

8. Bake for 15 to 18 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed and golden brown.

9. Let the Cherry Pie Bites cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack.
