1 can cream of chicken soup
1 cup sour cream
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
1/2 cup cooked bacon, chopped
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
2. In a large mixing bowl, stir together the cream of chicken soup, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper until smooth.
3. Fold in the shredded chicken, chopped bacon, and 1 cup of the shredded cheddar cheese.
4. Cut the refrigerated biscuits into quarters and gently fold them into the chicken mixture until coated.
5. Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
6. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup cheddar cheese over the top.
7. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the biscuits are cooked through and the top is bubbly and lightly golden.
8. Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes, then garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.
Notes
Do not overmix the biscuit pieces into the filling, or they can break down too much and lose that fluffy baked texture that makes this dish so good.
