Ingredients

12 oz egg noodles

2 cups cooked chicken, shredded

1 cup carrots, diced

1 cup frozen peas

1/2 cup celery, diced

3 tbsp butter

2 cloves garlic, minced

3 cups chicken broth

1 1/2 cups milk or half-and-half

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper


Instructions

1. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add carrots, celery, and garlic. Sauté for 5 minutes until slightly softened.

2. Sprinkle flour over the vegetables and stir constantly for 1 minute to cook off the raw flour taste.

3. Gradually whisk in the chicken broth and milk, stirring until the mixture is smooth and begins to thicken.

4. Add egg noodles to the skillet and simmer for 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally until the noodles are tender and sauce is creamy.

5. Stir in cooked chicken and peas. Simmer for another 3–5 minutes until everything is heated through.

6. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot and garnish with parsley if desired.

Notes

For extra richness, substitute heavy cream for half of the milk.
