Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup granulated sugar

1 tablespoon baking powder

1 cup milk

2 large eggs

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)

2/3 cup unsalted butter (softened, for swirl)

1 cup brown sugar (for swirl)

1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (for swirl)

1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)

2 tablespoons milk or cream (for glaze)

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for glaze)


Instructions

1. In a large bowl, whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

2. In another bowl, whisk milk, eggs, and vanilla.

3. Combine wet and dry ingredients, then stir in melted butter until smooth.

4. In a small bowl, mix softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon.

5. Pour half the batter into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.

6. Drop spoonfuls of cinnamon mixture over it.

7. Add remaining batter and swirl the rest of the cinnamon mixture.

8. Use a knife to gently swirl everything together.

9. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 35–40 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.

10. Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla for glaze.

11. Drizzle over warm cake and let it soak in.

Notes

For deeper flavor, use dark brown sugar in the swirl.

Let the cake rest 10 minutes before slicing to set the glaze.
