Description

Cinnamon Roll Monkey Bread is the kind of sweet breakfast bake that instantly makes the whole kitchen feel warm and inviting. This easy recipe is perfect for brunch, holiday mornings, weekend breakfast ideas, or even a cozy dessert when you want something simple but impressive. Soft pieces of cinnamon roll dough are coated in buttery cinnamon sugar, baked until golden, then finished with a sweet vanilla glaze for a gooey pull-apart treat everyone loves.

Ingredients

2 cans refrigerated cinnamon rolls, 12.4 ounces each

1 cup granulated sugar

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

3/4 cup brown sugar

2 icing packets from the cinnamon roll cans

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a bundt pan very well.

2. Open the cinnamon roll cans and set the icing aside for later.

3. Cut each cinnamon roll into 4 equal pieces.

4. In a large bowl, mix the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.

5. Toss the cinnamon roll pieces in the cinnamon sugar until evenly coated.

6. Place the coated dough pieces evenly into the prepared bundt pan.

7. In a small bowl, stir together the melted butter and brown sugar.

8. Pour the butter mixture evenly over the dough pieces in the pan.

9. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, until golden brown and cooked through.

10. Let the monkey bread rest in the pan for 5 to 10 minutes.

11. Carefully invert it onto a serving plate.

12. Warm the reserved icing slightly if needed, then drizzle it over the top before serving.

Notes

Do not leave the monkey bread in the pan too long after baking, or the melted sugar may firm up and make it harder to release cleanly.
