Ingredients
8 oz medium pasta shells
1 tbsp olive oil
1 lb ground beef
1 small onion, finely diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp Italian seasoning
½ tsp paprika
Salt and black pepper, to taste
1 (15 oz) can diced tomatoes, drained
1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
1 cup beef broth
¾ cup heavy cream
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 cups fresh spinach (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta shells until al dente, drain, and set aside.
- Brown the Beef: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. Drain excess grease if needed.
- Sauté the Aromatics: Add diced onion and cook for 2-3 minutes until softened. Stir in garlic, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Prepare the Sauce: Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and beef broth. Simmer for about 5 minutes to blend flavors.
- Add Cream and Cheese: Reduce heat to low and stir in heavy cream. Add shredded cheddar and Parmesan, stirring until melted and smooth. If using spinach, add and let it wilt.
- Combine Everything: Toss in the cooked pasta and stir until well coated. Let it simmer for 2 minutes to absorb the flavors.
- Serve and Enjoy: Remove from heat, let sit for a few minutes, then serve warm with extra Parmesan if desired.
