Ingredients
12 oz linguine
2 large chicken breasts or thighs
4 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 ½ cups heavy cream
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt, to taste
Black pepper, to taste
2 tablespoons chopped parsley (optional)
Instructions
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook linguine until al dente. Drain and reserve 1/2 cup pasta water.
2. Season chicken with salt and pepper.
3. Heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons butter in a skillet. Sear chicken on medium-high heat until golden and cooked through. Remove and slice.
4. In the same skillet, melt remaining butter and sauté garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
5. Add heavy cream and simmer gently.
6. Stir in Parmesan cheese until sauce thickens.
7. Return sliced chicken and cooked linguine to skillet. Toss everything gently to coat.
8. Add reserved pasta water as needed to loosen sauce. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
Notes
For best flavor and texture, use freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
Use chicken thighs for juicier bites or breasts for a leaner version.
