Ingredients

Pasta & Protein:

12 oz farfalle (bowtie) pasta (or any pasta of choice)

1 lb ground beef (80/20 for best flavor)

Alfredo Sauce:

2 tbsp unsalted butter

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 ½ cups heavy cream

1 cup whole milk

1 ½ cups freshly grated Parmesan cheese

½ tsp salt (adjust to taste)

½ tsp black pepper

½ tsp Italian seasoning

¼ tsp ground nutmeg (optional)

Garnishes (Optional):

Chopped fresh parsley

Extra grated Parmesan

Instructions

Step 1: Cook the Pasta

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. Add the farfalle pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
  3. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water, then drain the rest and set the pasta aside.

Step 2: Brown the Ground Beef

  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef.
  2. Break it apart using a wooden spoon and cook until browned (about 5-7 minutes).
  3. Drain excess grease if necessary and set the beef aside.

Step 3: Prepare the Alfredo Sauce

  1. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Pour in the heavy cream and milk, stirring constantly.
  4. Add Parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper, Italian seasoning, and nutmeg (if using).
  5. Stir continuously until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens (about 3-5 minutes).

Step 4: Combine Everything

  1. Return the cooked ground beef to the skillet, stirring to coat it in the sauce.
  2. Add the drained pasta and toss gently to combine.
  3. If needed, add a bit of the reserved pasta water to loosen the sauce.

Step 5: Garnish & Serve

  1. Remove from heat and let the pasta sit for a minute to absorb the flavors.
  2. Garnish with fresh parsley and extra grated Parmesan.
  3. Serve hot and enjoy!
