Ingredients
Pasta & Protein:
12 oz farfalle (bowtie) pasta (or any pasta of choice)
1 lb ground beef (80/20 for best flavor)
Alfredo Sauce:
2 tbsp unsalted butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 ½ cups heavy cream
1 cup whole milk
1 ½ cups freshly grated Parmesan cheese
½ tsp salt (adjust to taste)
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp Italian seasoning
¼ tsp ground nutmeg (optional)
Garnishes (Optional):
Chopped fresh parsley
Extra grated Parmesan
Instructions
Step 1: Cook the Pasta
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Add the farfalle pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
- Reserve ½ cup of pasta water, then drain the rest and set the pasta aside.
Step 2: Brown the Ground Beef
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef.
- Break it apart using a wooden spoon and cook until browned (about 5-7 minutes).
- Drain excess grease if necessary and set the beef aside.
Step 3: Prepare the Alfredo Sauce
- In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and milk, stirring constantly.
- Add Parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper, Italian seasoning, and nutmeg (if using).
- Stir continuously until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens (about 3-5 minutes).
Step 4: Combine Everything
- Return the cooked ground beef to the skillet, stirring to coat it in the sauce.
- Add the drained pasta and toss gently to combine.
- If needed, add a bit of the reserved pasta water to loosen the sauce.
Step 5: Garnish & Serve
- Remove from heat and let the pasta sit for a minute to absorb the flavors.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and extra grated Parmesan.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
