Ingredients

1 pound lean ground beef

8 ounces penne pasta (uncooked)

4 ounces cream cheese

1 cup Greek yogurt

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon paprika

2 cups beef broth

1 cup shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese

1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

1. In a large skillet or pot, cook the lean ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat if necessary.

2. Add garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and a splash of beef broth. Stir and cook for 2-3 minutes to infuse the beef with flavor.

3. Add the uncooked penne pasta and the remaining beef broth. Bring to a boil, then cover and simmer for about 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is al dente.

4. Once pasta is cooked, reduce the heat and stir in the cream cheese and Greek yogurt. Mix until smooth and fully incorporated.

5. Add shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese and stir until melted and creamy.

6. Garnish with chopped parsley if using, and serve hot.

Notes

To keep the sauce extra creamy, stir in a splash of milk when reheating leftovers.

Whole wheat or protein-enriched pasta can boost the health factor even more.
