Ingredients

2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts

12 ounces penne pasta

2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning

2 cups chicken broth

1 cup heavy cream

8 ounces cream cheese, softened

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons butter

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley


Instructions

1. Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker and season them with Cajun seasoning, salt, black pepper, and minced garlic.

2. Pour in the chicken broth and add the butter.

3. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours or on high for 2 to 3 hours, until the chicken is tender and fully cooked.

4. Remove the chicken, shred or slice it, and set it aside.

5. Add the cream cheese, heavy cream, and Parmesan cheese to the slow cooker and stir until the sauce is smooth and creamy.

6. Cook the penne pasta in a separate pot according to package directions until al dente, then drain.

7. Return the chicken to the slow cooker and stir it into the sauce.

8. Add the cooked pasta and mix until everything is evenly coated.

9. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes
