Ingredients

3 cups shredded cooked chicken

1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup

1 can (10 oz) Rotel (diced tomatoes and green chilies), drained

1 cup sour cream

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (plus more for topping)

1/2 cup milk

1 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

1 large bag (9.75 oz) nacho cheese Doritos, slightly crushed

Optional toppings: diced tomatoes, chopped cilantro, jalapeños, green onions


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, mix shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, Rotel, sour cream, milk, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until fully combined.
  3. Spread a layer of crushed Doritos on the bottom of the baking dish.
  4. Pour and spread half of the chicken mixture over the Doritos.
  5. Add another layer of Doritos, then the remaining chicken mixture.
  6. Top with more Doritos and an extra sprinkle of shredded cheese.
  7. Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, until bubbly and cheese is melted.
  8. Let it cool slightly, garnish with toppings of choice, and serve hot.
