Ingredients

1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized chunks

1/2 cup cornstarch

2 eggs, beaten

1 cup all-purpose flour

Salt and black pepper to taste

Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)

Honey Sauce:

1/2 cup honey

1/4 cup soy sauce

2 tbsp apple cider vinegar

1 tbsp brown sugar

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (slurry)


Instructions

  1. Pat chicken pieces dry and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Prepare three bowls: flour, beaten eggs, and cornstarch.
  3. Dredge chicken in flour, then egg, then cornstarch.
  4. Heat oil in a skillet to 350°F (175°C). Fry chicken in batches until golden and crisp, about 5-6 minutes.
