Ingredients
1 cup heavy cream
8 oz mascarpone cheese
1/2 cup eggnog
1/4 cup confectioners’ sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup strong brewed espresso (cooled)
24 ladyfingers
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg (plus more for dusting)
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon (optional, for dusting)
Instructions
1. In a chilled mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Set aside.
2. In another bowl, beat the mascarpone, confectioners’ sugar, eggnog, and vanilla extract until smooth.
3. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until well combined but still airy.
4. Quickly dip ladyfingers into the cooled espresso and layer into serving cups.
5. Spoon a layer of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
6. Repeat layers until cups are filled, finishing with mascarpone cream on top.
7. Cover and chill at least 3 hours or overnight.
8. Dust with nutmeg and/or cinnamon before serving. Add whipped cream if desired.
