Ingredients
113g unsalted butter, softened
100g brown sugar
50g granulated sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 large egg
160g all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
120g chocolate chunks
100g soft caramel candies, chopped
Flaky sea salt, for topping
Instructions
1. Beat butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
2. Add the egg and vanilla; mix until well combined.
3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
4. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture and mix until incorporated.
5. Fold in chocolate chunks and caramel pieces. Chill dough for at least 30 minutes.
6. Scoop dough onto baking sheet, add a small spoon of caramel sauce if using, and sprinkle with flaky sea salt.
7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10–12 minutes until edges are golden.
8. Cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
Notes
For gooier cookies, don’t overbake—remove when centers still look slightly underdone.
If using caramel sauce instead of candies, chill dough longer to prevent excessive spreading.
