Ingredients
8 oz ramen noodles or lo mein noodles
1 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
3 tbsp hoisin sauce
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional)
1 tbsp sesame oil
2 tsp cornstarch
1 tbsp vegetable oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
1/2 cup red bell pepper, thinly sliced
1/2 cup carrots, julienned
3 stalks green onions, chopped
1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional garnish)
Instructions
- Cook noodles according to package instructions, rinse under cold water, and toss with sesame oil.
- Marinate sliced beef with 1 tbsp hoisin sauce, 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tsp cornstarch, and sesame oil for 15 minutes.
- In a small bowl, whisk remaining hoisin sauce, soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), cornstarch, and 2 tbsp water.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over high heat. Sear beef for 2–4 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté garlic and ginger for 30 seconds. Add bell peppers and carrots. Stir-fry for 2–3 minutes.
- Return beef to skillet, add noodles, and pour sauce over. Toss to combine and heat through.
- Sprinkle chopped green onions and sesame seeds over the top.
