Ingredients

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

12 oz smoked sausage, sliced into rounds

3 cups broccoli florets

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 tablespoon sesame oil (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

Honey Garlic Sauce

1/4 cup honey

3 tablespoons soy sauce (low sodium)

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 2 teaspoons water

Red pepper flakes (optional)


Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear sausage slices until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  2. Add broccoli and stir-fry for 3-5 minutes until bright green and slightly tender. Remove and set aside.
  3. Add shrimp in a single layer. Cook 1-2 minutes per side until pink. Remove.
  4. Lower heat. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds. Add honey, soy sauce, and vinegar. Simmer 2-3 minutes.
  5. Stir in cornstarch slurry. Simmer until sauce thickens. Add pepper flakes if using.
  6. Return shrimp, sausage, and broccoli to skillet. Toss to coat and heat through.
  7. Serve hot, over rice or alone. Garnish as desired.
