Ingredients

1 lb jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined

4 tbsp unsalted butter

4 garlic cloves, minced

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp lemon juice (plus wedges for serving)

Salt and black pepper, to taste

¼ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

Zest of half a lemon


Instructions

  1. Pat the shrimp dry and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high. Add shrimp and cook 1–2 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  3. Reduce heat to medium. Melt butter in the same skillet and add minced garlic. Stir for 1–2 minutes.
  4. Add lemon juice, lemon zest, and optional red pepper flakes. Simmer briefly.
  5. Return shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Cook 1–2 minutes more.
