Ingredients

For the Chicken:

2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon paprika

1 tablespoon olive oil

For the Parmesan Crust:

½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

¼ cup Panko breadcrumbs

1 tablespoon melted butter

½ teaspoon garlic powder

For the Cheese Topping:

¼ cup Provolone cheese, shredded (or use slices)

2 tablespoons heavy cream (optional)

For Garnish (Optional):

Fresh parsley, chopped

Extra grated Parmesan


Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken
    • Slice the chicken breasts in half lengthwise and pound them to an even ½-inch thickness.
    • Season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  2. Sear the Chicken
    • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Cook the chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and fully cooked (165°F internal temperature).
    • Remove from the pan and set aside.
  3. Make the Parmesan Crust
    • In a small bowl, mix Parmesan cheese, Panko breadcrumbs, melted butter, and garlic powder.
  4. Add Cheese Topping
    • Place the cooked chicken on a baking sheet.
    • Sprinkle the Parmesan crust mixture over each piece.
    • Top with shredded Provolone cheese.
  5. Broil the Chicken
    • Preheat the oven to broil on high.
    • Broil for 2-3 minutes until the cheese melts and turns golden brown.
    • Watch closely to prevent burning.
