Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, melted

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

2 cups granulated sugar

4 large eggs

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 1/2 cups chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

1 cup mini marshmallows or marshmallow creme

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1/2 cup white chocolate chips

Chocolate ganache or hot fudge sauce, for drizzle

Cocoa powder, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, mix melted butter with cocoa powder until smooth. Add sugar and mix well.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time until fully incorporated.
  4. Stir in flour and salt. Add vanilla and optional nuts. Mix just until combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the baking dish and spread evenly.
  6. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  7. While hot, top with marshmallows or marshmallow creme and let it melt. Spread gently.
  8. Sprinkle chocolate chips over the top and press slightly into the marshmallow.
  9. Drizzle with ganache or fudge sauce and dust with cocoa powder.
  10. Cool completely before slicing and serving. Chill for cleaner cuts.
