Ingredients
2 large boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sour cream
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
2 green onions, sliced
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F. Lightly grease a baking dish or use an oven-safe skillet.
2. Pat the chicken breasts dry, then season both sides with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
3. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the chicken for 2 to 3 minutes per side until lightly golden.
4. In a medium bowl, mix the softened cream cheese and sour cream until smooth.
5. Stir in 1 cup of the shredded cheddar cheese and half of the crumbled bacon.
6. Place the seared chicken in the baking dish if needed, then spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the chicken breasts.
7. Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese over the top and finish with the rest of the bacon.
8. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the chicken reaches 165°F internally and the topping is hot and bubbly.
9. Remove from the oven, let the chicken rest for 5 minutes, then top with sliced green onions before serving.
Notes
