Ingredients
For the Dough:
2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
3/4 cup warm milk (110°F)
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 egg yolk
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
3 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
For the Filling:
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 tbsp ground cinnamon
12 Oreo cookies, crushed (reserve 3 for topping)
1/3 cup white chocolate chips (optional)
For the Glaze:
4 oz cream cheese, softened
2 tbsp butter, softened
3/4 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1–2 tbsp milk, to thin as needed
Reserved crushed Oreos for garnish
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix warm milk and yeast. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
- Add sugar, egg, yolk, and melted butter. Stir until combined. Gradually mix in flour and salt until dough forms.
- Knead the dough by hand or stand mixer for 8–10 minutes until elastic. Cover and let rise 1–1.5 hours until doubled.
- Roll dough into a 14×9 inch rectangle on a floured surface. Spread softened butter over it evenly.
- Mix brown sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle over butter. Add crushed Oreos and white chocolate chips.
- Roll tightly from the long edge into a log. Slice into 9 equal rolls. Place in greased 9-inch dish.
- Cover and let rise 30–45 minutes until puffy. Meanwhile, preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake for 20–25 minutes or until golden. Don’t overbake!
- While baking, whisk glaze ingredients until smooth. Spread over warm rolls and top with remaining crushed Oreos.
