Ingredients

1 lb (450g) raw shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 garlic cloves, minced

1/2 teaspoon sea salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

1/2 teaspoon paprika

Zest of 1 lemon

Juice of half a lemon

1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (or 1 tsp dried)

Lemon wedges, for garnish


Instructions

  1. Pat the shrimp dry with a paper towel. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and red pepper flakes.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  3. Add shrimp in a single layer. Sear for about 2 minutes on one side.
  4. Flip shrimp and cook for another 1–2 minutes until pink and lightly golden.
  5. Stir in minced garlic and lemon zest. Cook for 30 seconds.
