Ingredients

1⁄2 cup unsalted butter, softened

3⁄4 cup creamy or crunchy peanut butter

1⁄2 cup brown sugar

1⁄4 cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

1⁄2 teaspoon baking soda

1⁄4 teaspoon salt

3⁄4 cup peanut butter M&Ms, plus extra for topping


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.

2. In a large bowl, cream together butter, peanut butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

3. Mix in egg and vanilla until fully incorporated.

4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.

5. Gradually add dry mixture into the wet ingredients and mix until combined.

6. Fold in most of the peanut butter M&Ms, saving some to press on top of the cookies.

7. Scoop dough into balls and place on prepared baking sheet. Slightly flatten and press extra M&Ms on top.

8. Bake for 10–12 minutes until the edges are lightly golden.

9. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

10. Serve warm or store once fully cooled.

Notes

For thicker cookies, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking.

You can swap peanut butter M&Ms for mini M&Ms or chopped peanut butter cups.
