Ingredients

12 oz pasta (penne, ziti, or rigatoni)

2 cups pizza sauce (or marinara sauce)

1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 package pepperoni slices (about 3040 slices)

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 clove garlic, minced

Optional toppings: sliced black olives, diced bell peppers, mushrooms, cooked sausage

Fresh basil or parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta until just al dente. Drain and toss with olive oil.
  2. In a large bowl, mix cooked pasta, pizza sauce, half of the mozzarella, half of the pepperoni, and minced garlic.
  3. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  4. Spread the pasta mixture evenly in the dish. Top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  5. Arrange the remaining pepperoni slices on top. Sprinkle with oregano and Italian seasoning.
  6. Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes, until cheese is bubbly and lightly golden. Broil for 2–3 minutes if you want crispier pepperoni.
  7. Remove from oven and let sit for 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy every cheesy, pepperoni-packed bite!
