0.75 lb ground beef (85/15)

0.5 lb spicy Italian sausage, casings removed

1 cup heavy cream

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup chopped bell peppers (red or mixed)

2 cups fresh spinach

1.5 tbsp Cajun seasoning

0.5 cup grated parmesan cheese

1 tbsp olive oil

0.5 tsp salt

0.25 tsp black pepper

Instructions

2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil. Add beef and sausage, cook until browned. Drain grease.

3. Add garlic and bell peppers to skillet. Sauté 2–3 minutes until fragrant.

4. Pour in cream and reserved pasta water. Stir in Cajun seasoning, parmesan, salt, and pepper. Simmer until creamy.

5. Add cooked pasta and spinach. Stir to combine and wilt spinach.

6. Simmer 2 more minutes until sauce thickens slightly.

Notes

Use half-and-half instead of heavy cream for a lighter version.

For extra heat, add crushed red pepper flakes or hot sauce during cooking.
