Ingredients
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
8 small tortillas (flour or corn)
1 cup shredded lettuce or cabbage
1 avocado, diced (or 1/2 cup guacamole)
1/3 cup sour cream or Mexican crema
1 lime, cut into wedges
1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
1/4 cup shredded cheese (optional)
1/4 cup diced tomatoes (optional)
1 fresh jalapeño, sliced (optional)
Instructions
1. In a bowl, mix shrimp with olive oil, chili powder, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Let it marinate for 10–15 minutes.
2. Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Grill shrimp for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and slightly charred.
3. Toast tortillas lightly in a skillet or over open flame.
4. Fill each tortilla with lettuce or cabbage, shrimp, avocado or guacamole, crema, and optional toppings.
