Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 packet taco seasoning (or homemade)
½ cup water (for seasoning mix)
¼ cup ranch dressing
For the Shells and Toppings:
24 mini taco shells or wonton wrappers (fitting a mini muffin tin)
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or Mexican blend)
½ cup diced tomatoes
¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro
Sour cream or guacamole (optional, for serving)
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) while preparing the taco cups.
Step 2: Cook the Beef
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned and fully cooked (6–8 minutes). Drain excess grease.
Step 3: Season the Meat
Stir in the taco seasoning and ½ cup of water. Let it simmer for 2–3 minutes until thickened. Remove from heat and mix in the ranch dressing.
Step 4: Assemble the Taco Cups
Place mini taco shells or wonton wrappers into a mini muffin tin, forming cup shapes. Spoon the seasoned beef mixture evenly into each shell, filling ¾ full.
Step 5: Add Cheese
Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over each taco cup.
Step 6: Bake
Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until the shells are crispy and the cheese is melted.
Step 7: Garnish and Serve
Remove from the oven, let cool for a couple of minutes, then top with diced tomatoes and fresh cilantro. Serve warm with sour cream, guacamole, or extra ranch dressing.
