Ingredients

1 9-inch pie crust

1 cup chopped pecans

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup brown sugar

1 cup light corn syrup

3 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Roll out pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish, crimp edges, and freeze for 15 minutes. Blind bake for 10 minutes.

2. Toast chopped pecans in a dry skillet over medium heat for 3–5 minutes, stirring often. Set aside.

3. In a bowl, whisk together brown sugar, corn syrup, eggs, vanilla, and melted butter until smooth.

4. Stir in the toasted pecans and chocolate chips.

5. Pour the mixture into the pre-baked crust and bake for 45–50 minutes until the top is glossy and center is set.

6. Let the pie cool completely before slicing.

7. Serve as-is or topped with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.

Notes

Let the pie cool for at least 2 hours before slicing for clean cuts.

For extra depth, add 1 tablespoon of bourbon to the filling mix.
