Ingredients

450g ground beef

1 packet taco seasoning

1 cup tomato sauce

4 cups Fritos corn chips

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese

1 cup sour cream

1 cup chopped tomatoes

1/2 cup chopped scallions (green onions)


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.

3. Stir in taco seasoning and tomato sauce. Simmer for 5 minutes.

4. Spread Fritos in the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish.

5. Spoon the beef mixture evenly over the chips.

6. Sprinkle both cheeses evenly over the beef layer.

7. Bake for 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

8. Remove from oven and top with tomatoes, scallions, and sour cream.

9. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

To keep chips crispier, bake only the beef and cheese, and add chips just before serving.

For extra flavor, try layering in black beans or jalapeños before baking.
