Ingredients

2 cups white chocolate chips or chopped white chocolate

1/3 cup heavy cream

1/4 cup unsalted butter

Zest of 1 orange

1/4 teaspoon orange extract

1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

A few drops of orange food coloring (optional)

1/2 cup powdered sugar (for coating)

Additional white chocolate for dipping (optional)


Instructions

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, warm the heavy cream, butter, and orange zest until butter is melted and mixture begins to simmer. Remove from heat.
  2. Pour the hot mixture over the white chocolate in a heatproof bowl. Let sit for 2 minutes.
  3. Stir gently until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth.
  4. Add orange extract, vanilla extract, and optional food coloring. Mix well.
  5. Cover and refrigerate the mixture for 2–3 hours until firm.
  6. Scoop and roll into balls, placing them on a parchment-lined tray.
  7. Roll each truffle in powdered sugar. Optionally, dip in melted white chocolate and re-coat with sugar.
  8. Chill for 30 minutes before serving.
