Ingredients
2 pounds ground beef
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup breadcrumbs
2 large eggs
1 small onion, finely diced
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/3 cup ketchup, divided
6 slices cooked bacon
2 tablespoons chopped green onions (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with foil or grease a loaf pan.
2. In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, onions, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, 1/2 cup cheese, and 2 tablespoons of ketchup until just combined.
3. Shape into a loaf on the baking sheet or press into the loaf pan. Spread the remaining ketchup on top.
4. Bake for 45 minutes.
5. Remove from oven, top with remaining cheese and bacon slices.
6. Return to oven for 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted and bacon is crisp.
7. Rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with green onions if using.
