With a soft chocolate brownie base and a rich, creamy cake batter fudge layer on top, this sweet treat is perfect for Christmas dessert boards, cookie swaps, easy holiday baking, and fun food ideas for parties. It is a great make-ahead dessert, a simple sweet snack, and one of those easy recipe favorites that fits right in with holiday dessert ideas, Christmas treats, and homemade candy recipes.

Ingredients

1 box chocolate brownie mix

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 large egg

8 ounces cream cheese, softened

14 ounces sweetened condensed milk

2 cups white chocolate chips

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/3 cup red and green holiday sprinkles

1/4 cup white icing pieces or festive candy bits

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.

2. In a mixing bowl, stir together the brownie mix, melted butter, and egg until a thick batter forms.

3. Press the brownie batter evenly into the prepared pan.

4. Bake for 15 to 18 minutes, until the base is just set, then let it cool slightly.

5. In a saucepan over low heat, combine the cream cheese, sweetened condensed milk, and white chocolate chips.

6. Stir continuously until the mixture is smooth and fully melted.

7. Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract and holiday sprinkles.

8. Pour the fudge mixture over the baked brownie base and smooth the top.

9. Sprinkle the white icing pieces or festive candy bits over the top.

10. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours, until fully set.

11. Lift from the pan, slice into 16 squares, and serve chilled or slightly softened.

Notes

Do not overbake the brownie base or it can turn too firm and make the finished fudge harder to slice neatly.
