Description

Rich, silky, and packed with creamy Parmesan flavor, this Copycat Olive Garden Alfredo Sauce is the kind of easy recipe that turns an ordinary pasta night into something seriously comforting. It is perfect for a quick dinner, easy dinner ideas, family meals, pasta recipes, and cozy food ideas when you want restaurant-style flavor at home without a complicated process. The sauce comes together in one pan with butter, garlic, cream, cream cheese, and Parmesan for a smooth, luscious finish that clings beautifully to fettuccine, chicken, shrimp, or vegetables.

Ingredients

1/2 cup butter

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 pint heavy cream

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 1/2 cups freshly grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1 tbsp chopped parsley

12 oz fettuccine, cooked

Instructions

1. Melt the butter in a large skillet or saucepan over medium-low heat.

2. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant, making sure it does not brown.

3. Pour in the heavy cream and stir until the butter and cream are fully combined.

4. Add the softened cream cheese in small pieces and stir until completely melted and smooth.

5. Reduce the heat to low and add the freshly grated Parmesan cheese a little at a time, stirring constantly until the sauce is creamy.

6. Season with salt and black pepper, then let the sauce simmer gently for 1 to 2 minutes until slightly thickened.

7. Stir in the chopped parsley.

8. Add the cooked fettuccine and toss until evenly coated in the Alfredo sauce.

9. Serve immediately while hot and creamy.

Notes

Do not let the sauce boil after adding the cheese, or it can turn grainy and separate instead of staying smooth and creamy.
