Ingredients
1 loaf Cuban bread or soft French bread
8 slices Swiss cheese
12 oz roast pork, sliced or shredded
8 oz deli ham
8 dill pickle spears, sliced lengthwise
3 tbsp yellow mustard
2 tbsp softened butter
Instructions
1. Slice the loaf in half lengthwise and spread the yellow mustard on the inside of both halves.
2. Layer 4 slices Swiss cheese on the bottom half of the bread.
3. Add the roast pork evenly over the cheese.
4. Layer the deli ham over the pork.
5. Add the sliced dill pickles across the top.
6. Finish with the remaining 4 slices Swiss cheese and place the top half of the bread over everything.
7. Spread softened butter over the outside of the bread.
8. Press the sandwich in a panini press or skillet over medium heat until the bread is crisp and golden and the cheese is melted, about 4 to 5 minutes per side if using a skillet.
9. Let it rest for 1 minute, then slice into 4 portions and serve warm.
Notes
Do not overload the sandwich with too much meat or cheese, or the center may not heat through properly before the bread gets too dark.
