Ingredients

2 pounds sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized cubes

1 cup beef broth

1/4 cup soy sauce

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

4 cloves garlic, minced

4 tablespoons butter, cut into pieces

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon onion powder

2 tablespoons cornstarch

2 tablespoons cold water

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped


Instructions

1. Cut the sirloin steak into evenly sized bite-sized cubes and place them in the crockpot.

2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the beef broth, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, brown sugar, black pepper, and onion powder.

3. Pour the sauce mixture over the steak bites in the crockpot.

4. Scatter the butter pieces over the top.

5. Cover and cook on low for 5 to 6 hours or on high for 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 hours, until the steak is tender.

6. In a small bowl, stir together the cornstarch and cold water until smooth.

7. Add the cornstarch slurry to the crockpot and stir gently.

8. Cover and cook for 15 to 20 minutes more, until the sauce thickens slightly.

9. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

Avoid overcooking the steak on high for too long, or the bites can lose their juicy texture instead of staying tender and flavorful.
