Ingredients
1 box yellow cake mix
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup Easter candy-coated chocolates
1/2 cup white chocolate chips
2 tablespoons Easter sprinkles
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
2. In a large bowl, mix the yellow cake mix, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until a thick dough forms.
3. Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips, most of the candy-coated chocolates, and the white chocolate chips.
4. Spread the dough evenly into the prepared pan and press it gently into the corners.
5. Sprinkle the remaining candy-coated chocolates and the sprinkles over the top.
6. Bake for 22 to 27 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden and the center is just set.
7. Cool completely before slicing into bars and serving.
Notes
Do not overbake the bars, because they continue to set as they cool and staying slightly soft in the center keeps them chewy and tender.
