Ingredients
1 box strawberry gelatin, 3 oz
1 cup boiling water
1 cup cold water
10 candy eyeballs
Instructions
1. Add the strawberry gelatin powder to a large mixing bowl or measuring cup with a spout.
2. Pour in the boiling water and whisk for 2 minutes until the gelatin is fully dissolved.
3. Stir in the cold water until completely combined.
4. Place 10 small plastic shot cups on a tray or small baking pan.
5. Carefully pour the gelatin mixture evenly into the cups, leaving a little space at the top.
6. Refrigerate for 45 minutes to 1 hour, until the gelatin is partially set and slightly thickened.
7. Gently place 1 candy eyeball on top of each cup, pressing very lightly so it stays near the surface.
8. Return the cups to the refrigerator and chill for 2 to 3 more hours, or until fully set.
9. Serve cold straight from the refrigerator.
Notes
Do not add the candy eyeballs while the gelatin is still fully liquid, or they will sink to the bottom instead of sitting on top.
