Description
Hot Honey Salmon is the kind of easy dinner that tastes like something you would order at a restaurant, yet it comes together fast enough for a busy weeknight. Tender, flaky salmon is coated in a sticky sweet and spicy glaze with garlic, lemon, and a little smoky seasoning, making it perfect for quick dinner ideas, healthy dinner recipes, simple seafood meals, and flavorful food ideas the whole family will love.
Ingredients
4 salmon fillets
1/3 cup honey
2 tablespoons hot sauce
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
2 tablespoons sliced green onions
Instructions
1. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season them with salt, black pepper, and paprika.
2. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, hot sauce, garlic, soy sauce, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes.
3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
4. Place the salmon fillets in the skillet and cook for 4 minutes on the first side.
5. Flip the salmon carefully and pour the hot honey sauce over the fillets.
6. Continue cooking for 3 to 5 minutes, spooning the sauce over the salmon as it thickens and glazes the top.
7. Remove from the heat when the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
8. Sprinkle with sliced green onions and serve warm.
Notes
Do not cook the salmon over high heat for too long, or the honey glaze can burn before the fish finishes cooking.
