Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup light brown sugar, packed

1/2 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

3 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

3/4 cup holiday sprinkles, plus more for topping


Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.

5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix just until combined.

6. Fold in the holiday sprinkles, reserving a small amount for the tops.

7. Scoop the dough into evenly sized balls and place them on the prepared baking sheets about 2 inches apart.

8. Gently press extra sprinkles onto the tops of the dough balls.

9. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until the edges are lightly set and the centers still look soft.

10. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes
