  • 450 g ground turkey
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger grated
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1 cup chopped cabbage
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 head butter lettuce leaves separated
  • 2 green onions chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro chopped
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds optional for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground turkey, breaking it apart, and cook until no longer pink.
  • Stir in garlic, ginger, carrots, and cabbage. Cook for 3-4 minutes until vegetables are slightly softened.
  • Mix soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, and honey in a small bowl. Pour over the turkey mixture and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Spoon the mixture into butter lettuce leaves. Top with green onions, cilantro, and sesame seeds.
  • Serve immediately with extra sauce for dipping.

Notes

For extra spice, add chili flakes or sriracha to the sauce.
