Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Pasta pot
  • Strainer
  • Cutting board
  • Knife

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 12 oz bowtie pasta (farfalle)
  • 1 lb sirloin or ribeye steak cut into bite-size cubes
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp salt or to taste
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1.25 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the bowtie pasta until al dente, drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add beef cubes in a single layer, season with salt and pepper, and sear until browned, about 4-5 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add butter and garlic, cooking until fragrant. Stir in Italian seasoning, beef broth, and heavy cream. Simmer 5 minutes.
  • Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted. Add cooked pasta and beef to the skillet, toss to coat evenly in the sauce.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley. Serve warm.
