Ingredients
  

  • 500 g ground beef
  • 6 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (garnish)

Instructions
 

  • Prep the ingredients: Peel and thinly slice potatoes. Dice onion and mince garlic.
  • Cook the ground beef: Heat olive oil or butter in a skillet. Cook beef with onion and garlic until browned. Drain excess fat, season with salt and pepper.
  • Make the sauce: Mix cream of mushroom soup with milk until smooth.
  • Assemble the casserole: Layer potatoes, beef, sauce, and cheese in a greased baking dish. Repeat layers, ending with cheese.
  • Bake to perfection: Cover with foil and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake 15 more minutes until cheese is golden.
  • Garnish and serve: Sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.
