  • 3 ripe avocados
  • 1 small red onion, finely chopped
  • 1 small tomato, deseeded and diced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 lime, juiced (more to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 small jalapeño, finely minced (optional)
  • Salt, to taste

Instructions
 

  • Cut avocados in half, remove pits, and scoop flesh into a bowl. Mash to desired texture.
  • Stir in onion, tomato, garlic, jalapeño, cilantro, and lime juice. Mix gently.
  • Add salt to taste. Adjust lime juice as needed.
  • Serve immediately, or cover with plastic wrap pressed to surface and refrigerate.

Notes

Use plastic wrap directly on the surface to reduce browning. Best eaten fresh!
