  • 2 lbs chicken wings split, tips removed
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1.5 tsp lemon zest freshly grated
  • 2 tsp cracked black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1.25 tsp kosher salt
  • lemon wedges optional for serving

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400°F or air fryer to 390°F. Pat wings dry thoroughly.
  • Toss wings with olive oil in a bowl.
  • Add lemon zest, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt. Toss until coated.
  • Place wings on a lined baking sheet or air fryer basket in a single layer.
  • Bake for 35-40 minutes or air fry for 20-24 minutes, flipping halfway.
  • Serve hot with optional extra lemon zest or wedges.

Notes

To enhance citrus flavor, add more zest after baking.
